Where Is Assmannshausen, Germany?
Assmannshausen is a small village on the famous Rhine River, not far from Frankfurt am Main.
IMPORTANT:
We will be organizing a bus from Frankfurt Airport to the hotel and will also provide transport back to the airport on the Saturday.
- Pick-up Frankfurt am Main airport on Thursday, Nov. 7th: 12:40 CET
- Pick up hotel (to airport) on Saturday, Nov. 9th: 12:40 CET
Please plan to depart after 15:00 CET.
If you choose to travel by train:
Assmannshausen can be reached by train from Frankfurt Main Airport in less than 90 minutes.
Click here for a link to the German train schedule in English. Departure for Assmannshausen is from the regional train station (and not the long-distance one). Take the S9 towards Wiesbaden and change at Mainz-Kastel. From there you take the VIA towards Koblenz. Regional and long-distance trains both leave from Frankfurt Main airport; there may also be good connections from Frankfurt Hahn, although this airport is farther away from the venue.
Arrival and departure
Once in Assmannshausen, it is only a five minute walk from the train station/bus stop to the hotel, which is called Berg's Altebauernschänke, where Pancreas 2000 has held several meetings in the past.
This particular venue is a favorite among mentors and participants alike.
Schedule
As usual will be starting with lunch around 13:30 on Thursday, November 7th, so please try to arrive in Frankfurt as early in the day as possible and allow time to travel by bus or train to the venue.
The same applies for your return flights. The program will end at 12:30 on the Saturday, followed by lunch. Please plan to fly back after 15:00 CET.
If you do not wish to take the bus or the train, you will need to travel to the hotel by taxi, Uber, or rental car. Driving takes about 30-45 minutes to an hour from Frankfurt Main airport, depending on traffic.
If you wish to come earlier or stay longer, please contact the hotel to check availability and rates.

Hotel and Rooming
Similar to Ängavallen, we will be sharing rooms again in Assmannshausen.
Please let me know your rooming preferences. Double and 3-bed rooms will be available.
Teambuilding Activity
We will be organizing a teambuilding activity in Assmannshausen: cooking
We ask that you team up with others from your country and decide on a national dish that you would like to make for the group. It should be simple, but also typical - something that is enjoyed often and associated with your country.
Please send us a list of the ingredients, and the hotel will provide everything else that you need.
Please send your ingredient list by October 18th at the latest.
Expenses and Hotel Policy
Additional Costs
As in the past, you are kindly asked to pay for any additional beverages you may wish to consume, including alcoholic beverages. You are also asked to please cover any room service costs or costs for any non-meeting related hotel services.
Please note that bringing your own alcohol for consuption on the hotel premises is strictly prohibited.
